Before I created Barn Star, I was painting signs with products that were disposable and not cost effective.

Then one day I decided there had to be a better way. Barn Star stencils are reusable and durable, reducing waste that ends up in the landfills.

I was concerned that there are other manufacturers making durable stencils.

But then…

 I discovered that they are quite expensive and there aren’t many current trendy designs to choose from.

I decided to set out to create the most durable, sturdy and economical stencils for the most experienced sign painters in the crafting world.

It turns out…

The road was more difficult than I imagined.

It took 3 years of trials and error to find the correct manufacturing process and raw materials that would last through dozens of uses.

Even through all of the disappointments and failures I kept trying to manufacture a product that could work for everyone from weekend crafters to industrial painters. I wanted to deliver a product that could be trusted.

Right before…

 I was about to release my first professional stencils to the market my manufacturing machines broke down. It took an entire team of mechanics to get them running again.

We lost some valuable manufacturing time in the process.

Through it all, I released my first products and the response has been pure love from everyone who uses Barn Star Stencils.
